From Travis McCorkle: Q: With the offense really opening up this contest and showing what we are familiar with how do you think they did today compared to the first week?
A: I they did a much better job offensively it started with a great performance in defending all around with Mel in goal and getting some good saves. Harper, Tina, Ashlyn, Hannah, and Tielua all did a good job in the back, stopping multiple attacks and not giving pueblo much room to do anything. The Center Midfielders did a really good job pushing the ball up the field and getting numbers around the ball in possession. Sanai was back to the way we know she can be she caused problems tonight cutting behind the back line and playing crosses and playing from the wings.Tina had a good opportunity to get off of a corner kick.
Emily Thames had a huge goal from way outside the box and
Abby James put the score out of reach with her penalty kick. A lot of people say it's just a penalty kick, but it takes alot mentally and good technique to score a penalty.
Q: With MSU Denver up next what can you take out of this performance and bring into the next matchup
. A: I expect to have better fields than we have here tonight. One thing we found out tonight is that with us rotating the players we did tonight it showed us that we are capable of maintaining the same pressure on the opponents throughout the contest.
