SAN ANGELO, Texas – The No. 5 Angelo State University volleyball team has earned its fourth Lone Star Conference weekly award of the season, as senior middle blocker
Hannah Barnhill was named the LSC Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.
Barnhill, a marketing major from San Antonio, recorded 12 blocks while helping lead a defensive effort that held opponents to a .106 hitting percentage in sweeps over Western New Mexico, Eastern New Mexico and West Texas A&M. The senior tied her season-high with six blocks against WT, helping the Belles secure their first road sweep of the Lady Buffs since 1986. Across the three matches, Barnhill also added three kills and two digs.
Barnhill has helped the Blue and Gold extend its winning streak to 15 matches, with the Belles sweeping their last six opponents. She has recorded 22 blocks during that six-match stretch as ASU continues its dominant run through conference play.
Barnhill and the Belles return home for the final two matches of the 2026 regular season at the Junell Center/Stephens Arena, hosting Midwestern State on Friday, Oct. 30, for Senior Day before welcoming Lubbock Christian on Saturday, Oct. 31, for the annual Dig Pink match.
