Melbourne, Fla. – The Angelo State softball team picked up a split in their doubleheader on Saturday afternoon at Nancy Bottge Field as Florida Tech claimed game one with a 9-1 run-rule win before the Rambelles bounced back with an 11-3 win in game two.
The Panthers struck first with a two-out rally in the first, scoring a run.
The Rambelles would tie the game in the third inning on a fielder's choice.
The Panthers would hit two three-run home runs over the following four innings and notch a two-RBI single to force the run-rule win.
The Rambelles scored first in game two via
Larryn Feuge's leadoff home run in the second inning.
The Rambelles loaded the bases to start off the third inning, pushing across two runs on a walk and a wild pitch.

Zoey Sifuentes RBI single and
Taylor Haywood's sacrifice fly pushed the Rambelles lead to 5-0.
Tatiana Trotter's solo home run and another RBI single by Sifuentes in the following inning expanded the lead to seven runs.
The Panthers pushed across a run in each of the fourth, fifth, and sixth innings as their only runs in the contest.
The Rambelles finished off the scoring with four runs in the top of the seventh.
Sifuentes and Feuge went back-to-back to start off the frame before Trotter's two-RBI single with two outs pushed across the final two runs.
Feuge is the first Rambelles to have a multi-homer game this season, and it's the first of her young collegiate career.
Ashleigh Dendas improves to 5-0 on the season, allowing four hits and two runs while striking out three.
Addy Ewing threw the final two innings in relief, allowing two hits, a walk, and a run while striking out two Panthers.
The Rambelles are 11-2 on the season and close out their Florida trip tomorrow with a doubleheader against Rollins.
