RICHARDSON, Texas - Following a weekend that saw the Angelo State women's tennis team defeat Southwest Baptist 4-0 and Ouachita Baptist 7-0. Margaux Rene and Benedetta Raggiotti were named the Doubles Team of the week, and Rene was named Singles Player of the Week. 
 
Against Southwest Baptist, the pairing of Raggiotti and Rene would defeat their opponents 6-2. Against Ouachita Baptist, the pair defeated their opponents 6-4. With the victory, the pair moved to 4-0 on the year. The Rambelles are 13-1 in doubles play as a team. 
 
Rene returned to action this past weekend as she defeated Defne Ursan 2-6, 6-2, 6-1 to give her her first victory of the year. Against Ouachita Baptist, she defeated NaZamora Caprirolo 6-3, 6-3 to her second win of the year and her 7th consecutive victory dating back to last year.
 
This is the first time that both Margaux Rene and Benedetta Raggiotti are recognized as Player of the Week in their careers. 
 
This is the eighth time a Belle has received a weekly honor under Head Coach Jason Potthoff.
 
The Rambelles are back in action as they take on Henderson State on Saturday and Collin College on Sunday.
