With the win, the Rams improved to 29-14 overall and 16-4 on the road.

Johnny Stacy made his first appearance since early last season, allowing three runs in 1 1/3 innings. Chance Douglas followed before Garrett Villa entered to limit further damage as the Greyhounds trimmed the deficit.

Brett Smajstrla added a two-run home run in the third which gave Angelo State held a 15-8 lead through four innings.

Eastern New Mexico rallied in the fifth, capitalizing on miscues to cut the lead to four runs.

The Rams responded in the sixth. Beck drove in a run with a bunt, and Bush, Jordan Kelly and Wilhoite each contributed run-scoring plays to extend the lead to 20-14.

The Greyhounds added three runs in the seventh on a wild pitch and a two-RBI double.

Angelo State closed the scoring with six runs over the final innings, highlighted by RBI singles from Kelly, Pendley, Bush, Holt and Wilhoite.
