San Angelo, Texas - The Angelo State women's tennis team looks to keep the momentum rolling as they head into the Lone Star Conference Tournament starting this Thursday.
 
The Belles will enter the tournament as the fourth seed. They open Thursday at 9:00 a.m. with fifth-seeded St. Mary's, whom the Belles beat 4-3 back on April. 6th.
 
If the Belles win, they will advance to the semifinals to face UT Tyler on Friday with the first severe scheduled for 9:00 a.m.
 
The Belles have lost two matches in conference play, one was to the top-seeded UT Tyler 5-2, and to the third-seeded Lubbock Christian 4-3. 
 
The Rambelles are ranked 29th heading into the conference tournament. Vasilissa Kupriianova is ranked 32nd in singles play, and Margaux Rene is ranked 37th in singles play. The pairing of Benedetta Raggiotti and Margaux Rene is ranked 13th in the nation. 
 
Heading into the Lone Star Conference Tournament, Sasa Felixova leads the team with a 20-2 overall record in singles play. The Belles are 112-23 overall in singles action.   
 
The 13th-ranked pairing in the nation has a 15-6 record in doubles play with a 48-21 overall record in doubles. 
 
Heading into the tournament, the St. Mary's Rattlers are 13-10 overall and 6-4 in conference action. 
 
Selina Wu is 19-3 overall in singles play, leading the team. The Rattlers are 85-49 overall in singles action. 
 
Gia Posito and Alessia Terlizzi are 9-4 overall in doubles play, and the Rattlers are 38-27 overall in doubles action. 
 
Aelssia Terlizzi is ranked 58th in the nation for the Rattlers. Selina Wu is ranked 62nd in the nation for the Rattlers in singles play. 
 
The pairing of Gia Posito and Alessia Terlizzi is ranked 32nd in the nation in doubles play. 
 
The Belles are 3-8 overall against the Rattlers, winning the last matchup 4-3 on April. 6, 2026.
 
Last time the Belles took on the Rattlers in the Lone Star Conference tournament, the Rambelles fell short as they were defeated 4-2 in the championship match on April. 22nd, 2023.
