San Antonio, Texas - The Angelo State Women's Tennis team extended their unbeaten streak to 17 in a row after they defeated St. Mary's 4-3 on Monday afternoon. 
 
The Rambelles are currently 17-0 overall and 4-0 in conference action. 
 
The Rattlers put pressure on the Rambelles early, winning the doubles point. The 33rd-ranked pairing of Gia Posito and Alessia Terlizzi defeated the 20th-ranked pairing of Benedetta Raggiotti and Margaux Rene 6-4 to start things off for the Rattler. The pairing of Danaiya Amangazhiyeva and Vasilissa Kupriianova fell to Selina Wu and Janel Ospanova 7-5 to clinch the doubles point for the Rattlers. Anna Wache and Sasa Felixova defeated Isabella Olsson, defeating Sarah Wooten 7-6(7-5) to give the Rambelles momentum heading into singles play. 
 
  
Janel Ospanova would end the undefeated streak of Benedetta Raggiotti as she would fall 6-2, 6-4 to give the Rattlers an 2-0 lead. 
 
Anna Waché would give the Rambelles their first point after defeating Sarah Wooten 6-1, 6-2  to make the score 2-1
 
Danaiya Amangazhiyeva defeated Isabella Olsson 6-1, 6-3 to tie the match 2-2. 
 
Sasa Felixova defeated Gia Posito 6-4, 6-3 to give the Rambelles a 3-2 lead. 
 
The 24th-ranked Margaux Rene would fall short to Alessia Terlizzi 6-3, 6-3 to tie the match 3-3. 
 
The final match of the day would come down to the No. 21-ranked Vasilissa Kupriianova and Selina Wu. Vasilissa Kupriianova defeated WU 6-3, 6-2 to give the Rambelles the 4-3 win and continue their unbeaten streak to 17 in a row.
The Rambelles will return to action on April. 11th when they take on Western New Mexico and April 12th when they take on Sul Ross State.
