The No. 24 Rambelles Return Home as They Take on Western New Mexico and Sul Ross State

San Angelo, Texas - The undefeated Angelo State Women's Tennis team returns home as they look to continue it's dominant start as they take on Western New Mexico on April 10th and Sul Ross State on April 12th.

Head Coach Jason Potthoff is currently in his fourth season. Potthoff has led the Rambelles to a 17-0 start, the best start in the program's history. 
 
The Belles have two players ranked in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association computerized rankings. Vasilissa Kupriianova from Ryazan, Russia, is ranked 25th in the nation. Margaux Rene is from Soisy-Sur-Sine, France, and is currently ranked 27th in the nation.
 
The team is ranked 24th in the nation, while the pairing of Margaux Rene and Benedetta Raggiotti is ranked 17th in the nation. 
 
The Belles bring five freshmen and one sophomore into the fold: Danaiya Amangazhiyeva from Almaty, Kazakhstan, Jade Bestagno from Saint Maxime, France, Sasa Felixova from Sala, Slovakia, Anastasiia Melnikova from Moscow, Russia, Anna Waché from Paris, France, and Vasilissa Kupriianova from Ryazan, Russia. A North Georgia transfer. 
 
Rene was the Lone Star Conference Singles Player of the Week in Week Two. Rene and Raggiotti were honored as the Doubles Team of the Week in Week Two. Vasilissa Kupriianova was honored as the LSC Singles Player of the Week for Week 7. The new pairing of Vasilissa Kupriianova and Danaiya Amangazhiyeva were also named the LSC Doubles Team of the Week for Week Seven. Benedetta Raggiotti was named the LSC Singles Player of the Week for Week Eight. Vasilissa Kupriianova was named the LSC Singles Player of the Week for Week Nine.
 
Sasa Felixova leads the teams in wins in singles play with a 15-1 record. Vasilissa Kuprrianova is the only remaining player undefeated in singles play with a 7-0 record. The Belles are 83-16 overall in singles action. 
 
The team of Benedetta Raggiotti and Margaux Rene is 11-4 overall and leads the team in wins. The Belles are 33-16 overall in doubles play. 
 
Western New Mexico is 4-9 overall. They lost their last matchup to UT Tyler 7-0. The Belles are 7-0 against the Mustangs, winning their last match-up 7-0 on April. 26th. 
 
The Mustangs are 24-42 overall in singles play. The Mustangs are 13-21 overall in doubles play.
 
Sul Ross State is 0-8 overall and lost its last matchup to UT Tyler 7-0. The Belles are 1-0 against Sul Ross State, winning the last matchup 6-0 on April. 27th, 2025.
