NEW ORLEANS – Angelo State track and field head coach
Tom Dibbern was named the USTFCCCA South Central Region men's coach of the year following a standout season for the Rams.
Dibbern, who was also named the LSC Men's Coach of the Year, earns his fifth overall regional coach of the year award and third for the men's side. He also won the award in 2018 and 2019, sweeping the men's and women's regional coach of the year awards both years.
This marks the eighth time an ASU coach has won this award since 2008, with former head coach James Reid winning it three times on the women's side (2009, 2010, 2013).
Dibbern led the Rams to a seventh-place team finish at the 2026 NCAA DII Outdoor Championships, winning three events.
Angelo State was also the team runner-up at the Lone Star Outdoor Championships, winning eight events, as they just missed out on the LSC title by a single point.
