RICHARDSON, Texas – The Angelo State University's women's athletic programs continued to shine in the classroom during the 2025-26 academic year, earning the Lone Star Conference Academic Excellence Award, the league announced Monday afternoon.
Presented for the 13th consecutive year, the LSC Academic Excellence Award recognizes the athletic departments with the highest collective team grade-point averages among men's and women's sports during the academic year.
The honor marks the first time Angelo State has earned the award since its inception during the 2013-14 academic year.
The Rambelles led the conference in team GPA in three sports during the 2025-26 academic year. Indoor track and field posted a 3.662 GPA, outdoor track and field recorded a 3.668 GPA, and tennis notched a 3.782 GPA. Each program was recognized as the LSC Academic Team Champion in its respective sport.
Angelo State's commitment to academic excellence was also highlighted by 46 Rambelles across nine women's sports who posted perfect 4.00 GPAs across the combined fall and spring semesters.
