SAN ANGELO, Texas - The Angelo State women's soccer team is starting the 2026 season this week with two home games against MSU Denver on Thursday and CSU Pueblo on Saturday at the Legrand Soccer Complex.

Need to Know

• ASU opens the season against MSU Denver for the first time in program history. 
• The Rambelles are now led by a first-time Head Coach, Mike Erwin, who comes from St. Mary's.
• Carly Martinez is the only returning player who scored a goal for the Rambelles. 
• The Belles return eight players from last year's squad. 
• The Belles bring in 11 freshmen to the fold and two transfers, Lawrencia Yeboah and Latae Rodriguez.
• Madison Bourzikas is among the Offensive Players to Watch in the LSC, Ashlyn Vick is among the Defensive Players to Watch in the LSC. 
• Claire Stoermer was named as one of the Goalkeepers to watch in the LSC.
• Mike Erwin enters his first year at the helm of the Rambelles after spending the past six seasons at St. Mary's.
•   Nayeli Celedon, who played for Mike Erwin at St. Mary's, returns for her second year as a graduate assistant. Isabel Robben, who attended Fort Hays, enters her second year as well as a graduate assistant for the Rambelles program.
• Last year, the team finished with a 9-5-5 record and 8-3-3 overall in conference action. 
• Heading into the year, the Belles were selected to finish seventh overall in the LSC Poll.
• The Belles have made the LSC Tournament every year since 2010.

 
MSU Denver at Angelo State

• MSU Denver leads the series 2-0-2; the last matchup on Sep.13th, 2025 ended in a 0-0 draw. 
• Last year the Roadrunners were 2-9-7 overall and 2-6-4 in conference action. 
• The Roadrunners return Madrid Mack, who recorded two goals.
• MSU Denver is projected to finish seventh in the RMAC Standings. 

 
CSU Pueblo at Angelo State  

• Angelo State leads the series with three wins and two losses. The last matchup was on Sep.11th, 2025 Angelo State defeated CSU Pueblo 4-0. 
• CSU Pueblo finished 4-9-6 overall and 3-5-4 in Conference play. CSU Pueblo did not record a home win last year. 
• The Thunderwolves returned Jenna Elledge from last year's squad, who recorded two goals. 
• The Thunderwolves are projected to finish ninth in the RMAC.
