Rambelles Fall to No. 4 DBU 3-1

SAN ANGELO, TEXAS - The Angelo State women's soccer team fell to No. 4 Dallas Baptist 3-1 Wednesday afternoon inside the LeGrand Soccer Complex.
 
With the loss, the Rambelles fell to 1-4-2 overall and 0-2-1 in Lone Star Conference action. 
 
DBU would get on the board first in the ninth minute when Sydney Hopper sent one flying over the ASU goalkeeper, giving the Lady Patriots the 1-0 lead early on in the game. 
 
Riley Olsen would get free on the left side of the field and dribble into the box, where she sent to the top right corner, giving DBU their second goal of the contest and 2-0 lead heading into the half. 
 
DBU would score their third and final goal in the 78th minute when Skylar Belanger would send it from outside the box on the right side of the field that would fly past a jumping ASU goalkeeper to give the Lady Patriots a 3-0 lead. 
 
In the 80th minute, Zanae Nylund would break free on a breakaway and send one from outside the box that would go over the diving DBU goalkeeper, giving the Rambelles their first goal in two contests. 
 
The Lady Patriots would have 22 shots, with ten being on target, compared to the Rambelles four shots, with two being on target by the Rambelles. 
 
Claire Stoermer would end the contest with seven saves. 
 
The Belles will return to action on Saturday when they travel to Lubbock to take on Lubbock Christian, with kickoff slated for 1:00 p.m.
