Nicole Collins
Nicole Collins (1994, 1995)

Collins became the first All-American in Angelo State women's basketball history with her selection to the 1993-94 and 1994-95 All-America teams. Collins, a native of Round Rock, Texas, was a WBCA first team selection following the 1993-94 season and an NCAA Division II Sports Information Directors first team pick in 1994-95. Collins is the only Angelo State athlete in any sport to earn Division II Preseason Player of the Year honors, with her selection to that honor by College Sports Magazine before the 1994-95 campaign. During her career, Collins led the ASU basketball program to new heights, including ASU's first regular-season and postseason tournament championships in the LSC in 1993-94. She was named the LSC Player of the Year in 1994, becoming only the second ASU player to earn the honor in the 20-plus year existence of the program. She retired with 15 school and/or conference records to her credit, including season scoring average of 25.5 points per game as a senior. She finished her career fourth on the career scoring chart with 1,349 points, in just two seasons of play for the Rambelles. She still ranks first all-time in scoring among players who played less than four seasons at ASU.
