Prior to Angelo State
Rodriguez hit .302 with 48 hits, including 11 doubles, three home runs and two doubles last season as a sophomore at NCTC. Also a right-handed hitter/thrower, he was a first-team District 7-5A performer at Fossil Ridge for head coach Doug Delany who is a Waco Midway HS graduate along with Brooks. Rodriguez hit .329 as a senior in high school and helped lead his team to the Class 5A playoffs.
