Played in 73 games at WSU following a stellar high school career at Wichita Collegiate (Kansas) that saw him leave with the state's career batting average record (.610). He was named the Kansas Player of the Year after his senior season that also saw him earn all-state, all-region and second-team All-American honors.
Beyond the Game
I’m excited about this season because: We have all gotten better and I’m ready to see what we can do.
Who I would immediately call after a game if I hit a game-winning home run or threw a no-hitter: My brothers, Trey and Travis.
Favorite baseball memory throughout my lifetime: Getting the game tying hit then scoring on a pass ball to win the game in the playoffs in California.
Actor who would play me in a movie: Denzel Washington
Actress who would play my girlfriend in a movie: Natalie Portman
The three other people I would want in a golf foursome: Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison, Longfellow Deeds.
