Biography

Coach Rike's Take
"Hanif is a very skilled player that brings a lot of toughness to our team. He can guard multiple positions. He is an excellent passer and tenacious on the glass for his size. He can score in a variety of ways and is very efficient offensively. He also played for a great coach, Scott Schumacher."


Prior to ASU
Spent two seasons with North Dakota School of Science (NDCS) averaging 16.1 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game, while shooting over 62% during the his sophomore year( 2010-2011), earning him NJCAA All-American honors (honorable mention). Nixon-Hughes was a two-year starter for the Wildcats and finished his NDSCS career ranked 14 in total career points in the 97 year history of the program. With Nixon-Hughes in the line up, the Wildcats had a record of 48-15 over both seasons.

Earlier in the year, he was named to the Mon-Dak All Conference team and the All-Region XIII team. In his freshman season, Nixon-Hughes was named All Conference Honorable Mention.
