Brandsma averaged 3.1 points and 2.6 rebounds per game in his sophomore season at ASU in 28 games played… Brandsma started three games and scored a season-high 11 points in an Angelo State win over Texas A&M-Commerce at the Junell Center… He secured six rebounds against West Texas A&M and Tarleton State and had four or more rebounds in seven games for the Rams… Brandsma went 3-for-3 on 3-pointers in his 11-point game against the Lions and finished the season with eight 3-pointers on 13 attempts… He grabbed 45 defensive rebounds and 28 on the offensive side of the court for a total of 73 rebounds… Brandsma finished his first season at ASU shooting 57 percent from the field (32-56) and had five blocked shots.

Played his high school basketball at Colleyville Heritage where he averaged 17 points and 7 rebounds per game... Shot 63 percent from the field in senior season... Earned first-team all-district honors as a senior... Coached by Stephen Hamrick.
