Jason Potthoff

Jason Potthoff finished his first season with the Rambelles Tennis Program with a 19-6 record ending a perfect 8-0 at home.
 
Potthoff lead the Belles to their first-ever conference tournament match victory in program history. The Belles would make it all the way to the tournament championship match where they would lose to St. Mary’s 4-2.
 
The Rambelles ended the season in a three-way tie for second in the Lone Star Conference standings after ending the season with an 8-2 conference record. The Rambelles picked up many All-Conference honors highlighted by Dianela Rodriguez being named Player of the Year for the second time. Rodriguez was also named Senior of the Year and First-Team Singles after a 17-5 position one record.
 
Letizia Corsini was named LSC Freshman of the Year as well as Second-Team Singles after finishing with a 16-6 singles record with a perfect 3-0 record on line one. Rodriguez and Corsini were named to the Honorable Mentions Doubles team after going 15-5 on line three doubles.
 
The doubles team of Eva Schwartz and Mieke Van Deventer who were 13-2 on line two this season were named to the LSC Secord Team Doubles. Schwartz was also named to the Sportsmanship team and Honorable Mentions Singles team.
 
Potthoff is the program's second head coach since the program returned in the 2017-18 season.

Potthoff comes to San Angelo with over a decade of experience coaching at the Division I level, most recently serving as the head coach at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. In his time in Milwaukee, Potthoff led the Panther tennis program to a 51-54 overall record and a 19-17 record in conference play.
 
He led Milwaukee to their first-ever Horizon League Conference championship match appearance; the season before, he led the Panthers to a 14-win season, their winningest season in the program's history.

The Panther tennis program boasted the highest GPA of any program in the UW – Milwaukee athletic department all five seasons under Potthoff, with the team also earning ITA All-Academic Team plaudits every single season.

Before Milwaukee, Potthoff served as an assistant coach at the University of Houston for two seasons. There he helped guide the Cougars to an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) national ranking high of No. 38.

Before Houston, Potthoff spent four seasons as the assistant coach at the University of Missouri, overseeing recruiting and on-court player development.

Potthoff graduated from Texas A&M University in 2005, beginning his coaching career as a graduate assistant with the Texas A&M men's tennis team.

Potthoff is married to Megan Potthoff, the Director of Sports Medicine - Head Athletic Trainer at ASU, and they reside in San Angelo.
