Angelo State defensive tackle Devin McDonald registered a game-high 10 tackles, including 2.5 tackles for loss, and was part of a Rams defensive effort that sacked Texas A&M-Kingsville quarterback Nate Poppell four times.

Trailing 7-0 late in the first quarter, McDonald helped the Rams send a message that they weren’t intimidated by the No. 10 team in the country with an assisted tackle for loss and a sack on a three play drive that went for negative eight yards. McDonald helped stall another drive in the fourth quarter by batting down a pass from Daniel Ramirez on third-and-four.
