SAN ANGELO – The Angelo State Rams basketball team will play two home games this week against Arlington Baptist College on Thursday, December 1 at 7 p.m. and St. Mary's on Saturday, December 3 at 6 p.m. at the Junell Center/Stephens Arena.
The Rams are 4-2 on the season after going 1-1 in the St. Mary's Classic. Angelo State fell to host St. Mary's, 83-61 after the Rattlers shot 78 percent in the first half. The Rams beat Southeastern Oklahoma on a last second layup by
Javae King-Gilchrist.
Hanif Nixon-Hughes led the team over the weekend with 16.0 point per game and average eight boards per game.
Arlington Baptist College is 0-4 after losing to Prairie View A&M, Letourneau, Southwest Assemblies of God, University of Dallas. The Patriots are a part of the Association of Christian College Athletics.
St. Mary's has a record of 3-1 with wins over Texas A&M-Kingsville and Incarnate Word. Kevin Kotsur leads the team with 23.5 points per game and 10.8 rebounds. The Rattlers are holding opponents to 68.8 points per game while scoring 76.5 per game.
