Coaches Quotes
Head coach Chuck Waddington
On playing in the Lone Star Conference…
“Every conference match is going to be a dog fight. It doesn't matter if a team is 12-0 or 0-12, every match is going to be a grind, and I told the girls that before (Thursday's) match.
On the play of Maddie Huth…
Maddie was our go-to player Thursday. It seemed like every time she swung at the ball, she put it away, which I thought was the difference. We dug a lot of balls and would transition, getting the balls to our middles that would score. We were able to put some runs together and got a big conference win.
On the quick turnaround playing tomorrow…
It was a tough match (Thursday) so it's going to be interesting on how we respond Friday. We will turn to our depth and some of our other players are going to have to step up, because there are going to be some leg-weary players in tomorrow's match.
