SAN ANGELO, Texas – Angelo State's
Theresa Sue made a big mark on the NCAA Division II long jump list with a personal-best jump on the second day of competition at the Texas Relays held in Austin.
Sue recorded a NCAA Division II provisional jump of 19'-3.50” (5.88m) which moves her to No. 2 in NCAA Division II currently. The jump is the best of her career.
The men's sprint medley relay finished in fourth place with a time of 3:26.68. The relay consisted of
Dallas Gray,
Nick Smith,
Brendon West and
Isidro Garcia.
Smith ran a 10.88 in the 100m dash in the college division. His time was the 16
th fastest of the day.
Lexi Brooks, Sue,
Jordan Gray and
Jaylen Rodgers ran a 3:52.59 in the 4x400m preliminaries and placed seventh in their heat.
The duo of Sue and
Cathryn Rittenberry ran times of 14.87 and 14.92, respectively in the 100m hurdles.
Patrick Hunter only jumped 21'-10” (6.65m) in the long jump. He placed 11
th in the 'B' section of the long jump.
In the triple jump 'B' section,
Austin Slone recorded a mark of 46'-10.25” (14.28m) placing 12
th.
