Central Oklahoma earned an at-large bid to the NCAA D-II South Central Regional with an overall record of 42-6 earning the No. 2 seed. The Bronchos advanced to the Super Regional after defeating Emporia State, 8-6 on May 6 in Edmond, Okla. UCO is coached by Genny Stidham, who is in her 15th year at the helm of the program.

Series History
Angelo State holds a 12-11 advantage over Central Oklahoma in a series that began play in 1979-80. The Rambelles have won three of the last four meetings including two games earlier in the year. In a doubleheader on Feb. 11, ASU won Game 1, 14-6 followed with an 8-1 victory in Game 2. The Bronchos did not lose two in a row after that point, going 42-4 the rest of the way, including a 35-game winning streak from Feb. 19 to April 21. Kacie Easley went 5-for-6 (.833) in the two contests versus UCO with two homers and five runs batted in. Elsamartina Apo (3-for-4, .750), Chelsey Walters (5-for-7, .714) and Carly Peters also homered for the Rambelles. Pitchers Mary Kate McKay and Claire Molina had 0.00 earned run averages versus the Bronchos in the early season twin bill with McKay fanning 10 UCO batters.

Four Broncho players hit .333 versus the Belles with Kaylee Brunson, Nathalie Timmermans, Brittany Weaver and Megan Whitmire all going 2-for-6. Weaver added a home run to her total while Whitmire and Kaycee Raines led the way with three RBIs each. McClelland and Steverson struggled to shut down the Belles offense, allowing a combined earned run average of 13.55 and a .472 average.

Hawaiian Punch
Elsamartina Apo and DeeshanaLynn Tafiti have combined for 121 runs batted in, 82 runs scored, 18 doubles and 26 home runs on the season. Apo - who hails from Ewa Beach, Hawaii - leads the team in batting average (.435), on-base percentage (.559) and walks (40). Tafiti, a native of Kalaheo, Hawaii, paces the team in home runs (18), RBIs (74) and slugging percentage (.773). Her 74 runs batted in is a single-season record, breaking teammate Kacie Easley's mark of 69 set in 2010

Home Sweet Home
The Rambelles are certainly comfortable playing in front of their fans at the ASU Softball Complex. Angelo State is currently 22-1 at home this season, with its only loss coming to St. Mary's on March 27 (7-4). Central Oklahoma has been efficient in road games, boasting a 12-2 overall record; however, its only two road losses were at the ASU Softball Complex.

Left is Right

Molina has 16 complete games in 35 appearances compared to McKay's 14 complete games in 34 outings.
