Rams & Rambelles Improve at Oliver Jackson Twilight Meet

Jacob McDonald, Sean Reagan and the women’s 4x400-meter improved on season-best marks

SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Angelo State track & field teams improved on marks at the Oliver Jackson Meet at Abilene, Texas, in the Rams & Rambelles final chance to qualify for the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships.

The women's 4x400-meter relay of Keshawna Fisher, Theresa Sue, Lexi Brooks and Jaylen Rodgers improved on their season-best time. The relay ran a NCAA Division II provisional time of 3:45.38 and move up to No. 17 in the nation. .

Sean Reagan threw a NCAA Division II provisional mark in the shot put of 53'-4.50” (16.26m). The throw puts him at No. 26 in the nation and is a season best. Reagan also hit a NCAA Division II provisional mark of 169'-2” (51.57m) in the discus. It moves him to No. 14 in the nation.

Kimberly Williams threw a NCAA Division II mark of 135'-9” (41.39m) in the javelin. On the men's side Jacob McDonald had a big improvement and a season best. His javelin throw of 219'-0” (66.77m) is a NCAA Division II automatic mark and moves him to No. 4 in NCAA Division II. The Roby native has a season-best mark of 140'-10” (42.94m).

Cathryn Rittenberry ran a NCAA Division II provisional time of 14.40 but has a faster time of 13.98 ran at the Lone Star Conference Championships.

The men's 4x100-meter relay of Dallas Gray, Brendon West, Nick Smith and Guy Henry recorded a NCAA Division II provisional mark of 41.18. The relay has a season-best time of 40.89.

The Oliver Jackson Twilight meet was the final meet before the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships. Selections to the NCAA Championships will be announced on May 17.
