ST. MARY'S BOX SCORE
SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Angelo State softball team lost to Colorado State-Pueblo 5-4 in the Rambelles home opener and dropped a 10-9 decision to St. Mary's on the first day of the ASU George McCorkle Classic on Friday at the ASU Softball Complex.
“It's not the way we wanted to start the tournament,” head coach
Travis Scott said. “We didn't adjust to the first Colorado State Pueblo pitcher until the fourth inning and really played pretty good against St. Mary's. We had a tough call on a double play ball against St. Mary's. Even though we are disappointed in losing two games we were one swing away from winning both games. We have to come out tomorrow and find a way to win two games tomorrow. Our passion for the game needs to get better every day.”
In the first game of the day the Rambelles (8-3) threatened in the first inning with runners at second and third.
Ambra Hill and
Kacie Easley were both on base after earning walks but Justine Bosio was able to get
