SAN ANGELO, Texas – The No. 4 Angelo State softball team dropped its final game of the ASU George McCorkle Classic 10-1 to Colorado State-Pueblo on Sunday at the ASU Softball Complex.
The Rambelles (9-5) struggled at the plate for the second-straight game only getting two hits and scoring one run.
Kacie Easley and
Lanie Robinson were the only two with hits and
Ambra Hill scored the only run on a
Holly Vanden Bossche ground ball.
Sandra Serna started in the circle but only lasted two-thirds of an innings giving up five earned runs.
Mary Kate McKay would come in and pitch three and a third giving up four earned runs with Robinson pitching the final inning.
Colorado-State Pueblo scored in the five runs in the first, one in the second and three in the third to take a 9-0 lead after three innings. The final run would come in the fifth inning.
The Rambelles finished the ASU George McCorkle Classic 1-4 and will now turn its sights towards Texas A&M-International on Tuesday in Laredo.
