Tina Cisneros
WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Tina Cisneros hit a single in the top of the eighth inning to score Darian Dunn as No. 12 Angelo State rallied to beat No. 17 Texas Woman's 8-7 on Friday at the LSC Showcase.

"It was an awesome team win today" head coach Travis Scott said after the game. "To be able to go out and sweep four games against TWU is huge in both the conference and regional standings. We had some individuals step up and we kept battling. I can't say enough about how proud I am of my team."

The Rambelles (22-7, 7-1 LSC) won their 10th straight game after being down 7-3 going into the top of the seventh inning. The Pioneers (18-7, 4-4 LSC) went up 7-1 after scoring three runs in the fourth and fifth innings.

Kenedy Urbany led off the top of the seventh inning with a solo home run to left field to cut the TWU lead to 7-4. Kelci Garza stepped to the plate with two on and one out to pinch hit for Ambra Hill. The senior tied the game with the first home run of her season over the left field wall to tie the game.

"I am so happy for Kelci Garza who transferred in her senior year and hasn't seen a ton of playing time," Scott said. "For her to step to the plate and do that was fun to watch."

Urbany, who was in the circle since the fifth inning, allowed three runs in the fifth inning but did not allow a hit in the sixth or seventh inning to send the game to the eighth.

Dunn reached base on an error by the third baseman and would reach second a sacrifice bunt by Rachel Moore. Dunn advanced to third on a fly ball by Urbany before scoring on Cisneros' single.

"Tina Cisneros was huge today for us today," Scott said. "She stepped in for an injured Lanie Robinson and made some great plays late in the game. To be able to get a single for the game winning RBI is a great confidence builder for her."

Urbany finished the game with a strikeout to finish the comeback. It is the freshman's 12th win of the season as she pitched 4.1 innings and only allowed three hits.

"Kenedy pitched extremely well the last three innings of the game and kept us in it," Scott said.

The game started with TWU scoring a run in the first on a fielding error to take a quick 1-0 lead.

The Rambelles responded in the top of the third. Moore drew a walk with two outs and would advance to third on a single by Urbany. Cisneros doubled to left center to score Moore and Urabny tried to score but was thrown out at home.

Tied at one, Sandra Serna held TWU scoreless until the fourth inning. Katy Stephens hit a three-run home run to put the Pioneers on top 4-1. Urbany came in relief of Serna in the fourth to close the inning out.

The Pioneers added three more runs in the fifth for a 7-1 advantage. ASU scored two runs in sixth. Micherie Koria singled down the left field line that scored Ambra Hill and Darian Dunn hit a sacrifice fly that plated Morgan Spearman to cut the lead 7-3 going into the seventh inning.

The Rambelles will conclude the LSC Showcase tomorrow with a 3 p.m. game against Tarleton State at Mustangs Park.
