The second quarter continued with the same strong defense, as Angelo State only allowed nine points in the quarter. Overall, the Lady Mustangs scored just 52 points, which was a season-best defensive effort for the Belles. The second quarter was also the best for ASU offensively, as they scored 30 points and opened up a 55-21 lead heading into the locker room.
Angelo State pushed the lead larger with an 8-2 run in the first two minutes of the second half, and would continue to grow the lead the rest of the quarter. The quarter was the best offensively for Western New Mexico, as they scored 16 and Lady Mustang guard Jordan Gutierrez hit a three-pointer at buzzer, but the Belles still had the lead, 79-37.
The fourth quarter saw only non-starters for the Belles, but the bench players were still able to push the lead larger for the end of the game. All eight of Curry's point came in the fourth quarter, as she hit two threes as well as a jumper in the paint.
