COMMERCE, TEXAS – The Angelo State women's volleyball team dropped its second straight match Saturday afternoon to Texas A&M-Commerce 3-0 (25-22, 25-22, 25-18) to fall to 17-6 (10-3 Lone Star Conference).
The Belles struggled to get anything going, hitting only .154 and allowing Commerce to hit .279 for the match.
Makenzie Griffin was a bright spot for the Belles, recording a season and career high 10 kills. Audrey Fragniere chipped in eight and Anna Graham and Baleigh Allen each recorded seven on the afternoon.
Defensively, the Belles were led by Sundara Chinn and Chloe Robinson, who each recorded eight digs for the match. Baleigh Allen and Sophia Berg were strong at the net, contributing three blocks each.
Setter Meghan Parker led the team with 25 assists on the afternoon. She also chipped in with three digs and two service aces.
The Belles will be back at home for their next contest as they take on conference leading Tarleton State on Wednesday evening in Stephens Arena at the Junell Center.
