SAN ANGELO – The Angelo State women's volleyball team lost to Tarleton State in straight sets (29-27, 25-19, 25-20) to fall to 17-7 (10-4 Lone Star Conference) this season.

The Belles struggled offensively, as they were outhit every set and hit just .150 overall for the match to Tarleton's .227.

The Belles were led offensively by Makenzie Griffin, who recorded 10 kills on 22 attempts. Sundara Chinn added nine kills, Audrey Fragniere had eight, and Baleigh Allen and Sophia Berg each had six.

Defensively, the Belles were led by libero Chloe Robinson, who had 13 digs on the evening. Sophia Berg was a force at the net with four blocks for the contest.

Setter Meghan Parker led the team with 27 assists and two service aces on the evening, adding in eight digs.

The Belles will be in action again at home Friday evening as they take on West Texas A&M at 7 p.m.
