LAWTON, Oklahoma – The Angelo State women's basketball team scored 27 points off 21 Cameron turnovers to earn their seventh straight victory 75-60 over the Aggies on Thursday night in Lawton.

The Belles (15-4, 10-3 LSC) dominated in the paint 44-28 and added 18 points via fast break. ASU tallied 41 rebounds, 11 assists, 11 steals and eight blocks. The Aggies (8-13, 6-7 LSC) were limited to 40.4 percent shooting and only 38 rebounds.

"It was a great team win tonight," Angelo State head women's basketball coach Renae Shippy said. "Our girls were unselfish and we had a great defensive effort against a very good Cameron team. Marquita Daniels had a phenomenal game. I was very proud of her leadership on the court tonight."

ASU had four players score in double figures highlighted by Marquita Daniels career high 27 points. The senior hit four 3-pointers and added four assists and six steals on the night. De'Anira Moore was equally impressive with her eighth double-double of the season. The sophomore scored 16 points to go along with 10 rebounds. She also blocked seven shots. Keanna Kelly added 11 points while Madi Greenwood chipped in 10 points.

Cameron would take its only lead of the game in the first two minutes of the game. Keanna Kelly quickly tied the game with a 3-pointer at the 7:50 mark of the first quarter and after one of six steals by Daniels the Belles would take their first lead at 7-5. The two teams would be tied three more times including at 12 until Daniels hit a 3-pointer with two minutes remaining. A quick 5-0 run made it 19-12 until Cameron made a layup to cut the deficit to five at 19-14 after the first quarter.

The lead continued to grow in the second quarter. Cameron made it 19-16 before a 7-0 run pushed the lead to 10. Aaliyah Warren started the run with a layup and it was capped off with a layup by Daniels. ASU would have a 28-18 lead with 7:36 to play but the Aggies continued battling. Cameron scored 10 of the next 12 points to trim ASU's advantage to just two at 30-28. The Belles quickly responded with their own 8-0 run to close out the half. Angelo State forced five turnovers and scored six of the eight points via layup to go into the half up 38-28.

The Belles came out of halftime and scored six of the first eight points to push the lead to 12 at 42-30. Cameron trimmed the lead to seven twice but ASU answered each time with layups. A pair of free throws by Madi Greenwood pushed the advantage to 12 and moments later the senior answered an Aggie three with one of her own. Greenwood would score six straight points before Daniels ended the quarter with a layup to give Angelo State a 55-41 lead going into the fourth quarter.

The start of the fourth quarter gave ASU its largest lead after a jumper by Kelly made it 57-41. The Belles would continue to lead by at least 13 points throughout the fourth quarter.
