TYLER, Texas – The Angelo State University Belle volleyball team swept the UT Tyler Lady Patriots in a 3-0 match, as they continue to show their stunning talent and skill in conference play, extending their record to 7-0 in conference and 15-1 overall.

In Case You Missed It:
- The Belles and the Lady Patriots would start set one off to a slow start as they battled back and forth for points, neither team gaining the advantage over the other.
- When Kailyn Gilbreath came up to serve however, she would catch ASU up to the Patriots with three straight points to catch up, 5-4.
- Thanks to Morgan Preston and Meghan Parker though, the Blue and Gold would be able to tie the set up, and take the lead later on, 21-16.
- With a block from Makenzie Griffin and Baleigh Allen, ASU would take set one 25-21.

- Lindsey Ledyard would start set two off well for the Belles though, hitting a three serve run for the Belles and setting the momentum for the team.
- With serves again from Parker, Preston, and Gilbreath, the Belles would end up taking a 24-14 lead over the Lady Patriots.
- With Sundara Chinns kill later in the set, the Belles would take set two 25-15.

- At the start of set three, the momentum slowed for both teams as they both battled and struggled to gain the upper hand over the other team.
- When Ledyard came to the serving line however, the momentum shifted. Ledyard would go on a two serve run to give ASU the lead it needed to stay ahead of the Lady Patriots at 15-11.
- Gilbreath would finish the set, and match, for the Belles with an assisted kill from Ledyard, ending set three for the Belles, 25-19, over the Patriots.

The Belles return home for Homecoming Week as they take on Eastern New Mexico for the annual Dig Pink Match on Friday, October 11, and West Texas A&M for YMCA Night on Saturday, October 12. First serve is slated for 7 p.m. on Friday, and Noon on Saturday, respectively.
