LAWTON, Oklahoma – The Angelo State University men's basketball team defeated the Cameron University Aggies, 84-75, on Saturday afternoon to earn a victory to end the year.
Collin Turner led the offense and scorers with 19 points.
The Rams improve to 7-2 on the season and 3-2 in conference action.

- Andres Ibarguen put in two quick baskets to put ASU on the board and lead 4-0 in the first two minutes of the game.
- Leading 4-3, the Rams score five points to increase the lead back to 9-3 off a dunk by Ronald Bell and a three pointer by Collin Turner.
- The Aggies answered back at the 16:34 mark with a jumper to trail 9-5.
- Turner responded for the Rams with another bucket from beyond the arc to give ASU a 12-5 lead heading into the first media timeout of the game.
- Halfway through the first half, the Aggies claimed their first lead of the game and held on to it over a four minute span to lead the Rams, 24-19, at the 8:15 mark.
- Paul Williams changed the Rams' momentum and ended the Aggies 12-0 run on a three pointer at the 7:17 mark to trail, 24-22.
- At the 4:54 mark, the Blue and Gold tied it up at 26-26 off a layup by Bell.
- With less than four minutes to go in the first half, Turner gave the lead back to ASU, 30-28.
- The Rams came out strong to start the second half and went on a 10-4 run to lead, 47-39, four minutes into the second half.
- The Aggies managed to close in on the ASU lead to trail, 53-50, halfway through the second half.
- At the 11:45 mark, the Rams went on a 13-6 run to increase their lead to 66-56, forcing Cameron to take a timeout at the 7:20 mark.
- The Blue and Gold continued to push and managed to lead 75-63 at the 4:02 mark.
- From there, ASU pushed the lead to 77-65 and held on to the lead to claim the victory over the Aggies, 84-75.
Key Players:
- Turner led the scorers and offense with 19 points, shooting 6-for-13 from the field, 1-for-6 from downtown, and 1-for-2 from the charity stripe.
- Ibarguen finished right behind Turner with 18 points and shot 88.9 percent from the field and 50 percent from the line.
- Williams (15), Jeremy Hayes (14), and Bell (10) all scored in double digits to help contribute to the Rams offense.
- Bell led the defense with nine rebounds, followed by Turner with eight.
