CANYON, TX – The #11 Angelo State Rams fell short in the series finale against the #15 West Texas A&M Buffs by a score of 4-0 to split the series. With the loss, the Rams move to 25-7 overall and maintain the best conference record to this point at 6-2.

After losing the first game of the series on Friday and then having two breakout wins in the Saturday doubleheader, the Rams couldn't get their bats going against the Buffs' lefty Zach Dixon who threw eight innings and gave up only two hits. Jacob Finke and Parker Tadlock were the two Angelo State hitters to collect hits in the game. As a team, the Rams drew five walks, but struck out 12 times.

Shannon Broussard started on the bump for the Rams and lasted 3.2 inning while giving up two runs on four hits, one of which was earned. Fabian Muniz then came in from the bull pen to pitch for the next 2.2 innings where he gave up two runs on five hits and fanned one hitter. The final five outs the Rams collected were done so behind Nick Coffman who gave up a single hit, one walk, and struck out one.

The Rams return home for their next series as they take on the Cameron Aggies starting with the Jersey Auction game on Friday at 6:30 p.m.
