Coach Brooks's Comments:
"Thought we showed real good resiliency in game 1. I thought our pitchers did a good job with the wind blowing up. Ben didn't have his best stuff but he competed. Kyle Moseley did a great job with coming in and picking up the win. Offensively, you can't say enough about Riley Peterson getting things started with his at-bat. Riley gets on and then Cain comes in and steals to get in scoring position and then Seginowich gets the hit to tie and Walters got the bases clearing double. I was proud of the way we fought. In game 2, Jake Rogers had the type of start we needed, getting the strikes. Offensively, Elvir had a great performance."

Key Players:
  • Walters finished the day with six RBI and three runs, while Elvir had five RBI and five runs scored.
  • Bramlett went 4-for-8 from the plate, scored three runs and registered one RBI.
  • Mathiowetz and Cain each notched two RBI while two others had one RBI.
  • On the mound, Kyle Moseley earned his second win in a Ram uniform after pitching 1.1 innings and threw one strikeout.
  • Rogers earned his first win on the season after pitching 5.1 innings and struck out seven batters.
