SAN ANGELO, Texas – The No. 21 Angelo State Rambelles softball team travel to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to participate in the Lone Star Conference tournament hosted by Oklahoma Christian University. Angelo State is the No. 2 and will play the winner between the No. 7 Lubbock Christian Chaparrals and the No. 10 St. Edward's Hilltoppers on Thursday, May 13 at 4 p.m.
 
The tournament will be a single elimination and the winner will receive the conference championship title and the automatic bid to the NCAA Division II South Central Regional tournament held in Commerce, Texas starting Wednesday, May 19 through Friday, May 21.

Angelo State finished the regular season with 31-11 overall record and a 22-8 conference record after defeating the Lubbock Christian Chaparrals in a double header on Sunday, May 2, winning the first game 4-2 and the second game 7-3.
 
Scouting Lubbock Christian:
The Chaparrals finished the regular season with a 29-16 overall record with a 17-13 conference record after dropping their final doubleheader against the Rambelles. Brooke Makemson leads the Chaps on offense, registering a .397 batting average for the 2021 season, scoring 33 runs and registering 54 hits, 13 doubles, two triples, eight home runs, and drove in 38 RBI for the Lady Chaps.
 
Scouting St. Edwards:
The Hilltoppers finished the regular season with a 16-20 overall record with a 12-18 conference record after their last doubleheader against the No. 12 Texas &AM-Commerce Lions, losing game one 1-4 and game two 1-6. Genisa Marrero-Carter leads the Hilltoppers on offense, hitting with a .351 batting average, scoring 22 runs and registering 40 hits, four doubles, three triples, and drove in 12 RBI for St. Edwards, while stealing 17 bases on 19 attempts.
