Richardson, Texas – Following the opening slate of matches for the fall season, the second-ranked Belles'
Kailyn Gilbreath earned the Lone Star Conference's Setter of the Week award for her performances inside the Junell Center at the 13
th Annual Kathleen Brasfield Invitational.
This marks the third time the Fort Worth native has earned a weekly conference award, and the first time doing so as a setter.
Gilbreath averaged 10.50 assists per set as the Belle attack hit .275, which was the best mark in the conference this past weekend. The senior also recorded two double-double, with 34 assists and 12 digs versus East Central and 41 assists and 10 kills versus Anderson.
Gilbreath and the Belles are in action tonight in Colorado when they take on Adams State. The match is scheduled to start tonight at 6 p.m. Central Time, 5 p.m. Mountain Time.
