SAN ANGELO – After dropping the first two sets to Texas A&M International Saturday afternoon, the Angelo State volleyball team made a valiant comeback to take sets three and four from the Dustdevils, forcing a decisive fifth set against the visitors. However, the comeback effort would fall short as the Dustdevils took the fifth and final set.
The loss drops the Rambelles to 11-13 on the season and 7-5 in conference play. They sit seventh in the LSC standings with four matches left in the season.
Elsa Lamphere led the Belles offense with 16 kills, a season-high for the junior. She also added 14 digs for her fourth double-double of the season and her first since the opening weekend.

Hannah Kinnison had a double-double with 11 kills and 17 digs, her seventh double-double this season.
Sydney Mundkowsky added 11 kills, while
Sam Rodgers had eight and a .273 hitting percentage.
Laney Dale assisted 25 times, while
Katy Motz added 23 off the bench. Dale dug 15 Dustdevil attacks for her fifth double-double of the season.
At the net,
Grace White recorded a match-high eight blocks; for the match, the Belles out-blocked the Dustdevils 15-6.
Libero
Caleigh Enax led the Belles with 18 digs, also adding three service aces.
The Belles play their final road matches next weekend, taking on UAFS Friday night before facing Oklahoma Christian on Saturday.
