RICHARDSON, Texas – Angelo State track & field's
Maricia Spence and
Antonija Radic highlighted the 2022 Lone Star Conference Track & Field All-Conference teams, earning Outstanding Female Athletes of the Year, the conference office announced.
Spence was named the LSC Outstanding Female Track Athlete of the Year after claiming a meet high 37.5 points at the conference championships. Spence claimed conference titles in the heptathlon and the 100-meter hurdles.
Radic finished with 31 points, winning the high jump and the long jump, earning LSC Outstanding Female Field Athlete of the Year.
The Rams tallied three First-Team All-Conference selections in
Elvis Kryukov,
Jacobee Jones, and
Viktor Ertelt. They also tallied 10 Second-Team All-Conference honorees and five of the Third-Team All-Conference list.
For the Belles, Spence and Radic both earned First-Team All-Conference along with
Abby Zamzow. Eight other Belles were named to the Second-Team All-Conference list along with two others on the Third-Team All-conference team.
The Belles also featured three members on the All-Academic list in
Mia Van Oudsthoorn, Radic, and
Sara Ramos.
NOTE: The all-conference first team shall consist of event winners, including all members of the winning relay teams, and athletes scoring 14 or more points at the Conference Championships Meet. The all-conference second team shall consist of all members of second-place relay teams and athletes scoring 8-13.9 points. The all-conference third team shall consist of all members of third-place relay teams and athletes scoring 6-7.9 points.
