KINGSVILLE, Texas – The Angelo State track & field teams wrapped up the 2022 Lone Star Conference Outdoor Championships as the Belles finished second overall while the Rams took third overall at Pepsi Field at Javelina Stadium.
ASU tallied four individual champions on the final day of competition as the Belles finished with 194 team points while the Rams collected 149 points.
In the women's long jump, Antonija Radic earned her second LSC title of the meet after taking first overall with a jump of 6.22m (20'-5"). Maricia Spence took second overall with a jump of 6.15m (20'-2.25") while Abby Zamzow finished fourth at 5.95m (19'-6.25").
Also picking up her second individual championship was Spence who ran the 100-meter hurdles in 13.74 for the top time. Alana Holloway took fourth overall in the event with a run of 14.27. Spence also took third in the 400-meter hurdles (1:02.87) while Holloway finished sixth (1:05.17) and Kailey Sinast finished eighth (1:08.52).
Mia Van Oudsthoorn took second in the women's shot put with a throw of 14.31m (46'-11") while Talena Murray finished third in the javelin with a mark of 42.20m (138'-5") followed by Raeana Mayo in fourth at 40.00m (131'-3").
In the pole vault, Camryn Barros cleared a height of 3.76m (12'-4") while Coryn Peters (3.36m | 11"-0.25") finished in seventh and Katelyn Bohensky (3.36m | 11"-0.25") took eighth.
The Belles relay teams finished third in the 4x100-meter relay with a time of 47.22 while coming in second in the 4x400-meter relay, crossing the finish line at 3:48.70.
In the 400-meter run, the Belles took third and fourth overall as Shiean Walters finished in 56.04 followed by Zykia McDaniel with a time of 56.63. Hannah Porter finished fourth in the 100-meter dash at 11.73 while Lexi Jackson took fourth in the 800-meter run at 2:19.03.
For the Rams, Jacobee Jones won the LSC title in the pole vault with a mark of 4.96m (16'-3.24") while Viktor Ertelt won the conference championship in the javelin with a throw of 63.16m (207'-3"). Also competing in the javelin were Luis Alvarado and Elvis Kryukov who finished third and fourth respectively.
Cole Paxton took second in the shot put with a toss of 17.02m (55'-10.25") while Ryan Pickett came in fourth with a throw of 15.70m (51'-6.25").
The men's 4x100-meter relay team finished second overall with a time of 40.81, while the 4x400-meter relay team took third at 3:13.83. Kryukov also took second in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.18.
Nicholas Ellisor took second and Emmet Seals finished in third in the 400-meter run with a time of 47.88 and 48.24 respectively while David Morgan finished fourth in the 100-meter dash at 10.48.
In the 400-meter hurdles, Romel Plummer finished in fourth with a time of 53.83 while Ryan Scalet took sixth, Kyle Lumpkins took seventh, and Jesus Rocha finished in eighth.
