RICHARDSON, Texas – The Lone Star Conference released the 2022 cross-country preseason polls this morning, tabbing the Belles tenth and the Rams 13
th.
On the women's side, DBU captured 29 first-place votes and 547 overall points to rank first in the preseason poll for the second straight year. The Belles
Mary Brown and
Allison Vaughn were named to the LSC runners to watch list. Brown was the top finisher for the Belles in two races in the 2021 campaign.
West Texas A&M headed the men's side again with 32 first-place votes and 486 points.
Robert Neeley and
Seth Blanco earned recognition as men's runners to watch. Neeley was the Ram's top finisher at three different races, while Blanco was once.
The Rams and Belles open the season at the ACU Naimadu Collegiate Race in Abilene on Sept. 2.
