Portales, N.M. – The Angelo State volleyball team followed their four-set win last night against Lubbock Christian with a sweep of Eastern New Mexico on Saturday inside Greyhound Arena to finish the weekend with a 2-0 record.
A tightly-contested first set saw the Rambelles pull out a 25-23 set win before they won sets two and three 25-17 and 25-12.
The story of the match was the difference between the two offenses, with the Belles hitting .307 while holding the hosts to a .069 hitting percentage. The Belles out-blocked the Greyhounds 8-4 and out-dug ENMU 46-41.
Elsa Lamphere led all players with 13 kills, with the senior from Colorado hitting .370 for the match.
Evelyn Torres had eight kills, while
Hannah Kinnison had seven. Middles
Cate Boldrick and
Marina Sanchez added five and four kills, respectively, with the duo only committing one error in 20 attack attempts.
Laney Dale assisted 17 times, and teammate
Kayla Baer followed closely behind with 15 assists.

Caleigh Enax led all players with 20 digs. It is the sixth time Enax has recorded 20 or more digs in a match this season.
The Belles improve to 17-3 on the season and 7-1 in conference play. The Belles are back home for Homecoming weekend, where they will host St. Edward's in their annual Dig Pink match on Friday evening.
