Rambelles Sweep St. Edward’s on Dig Pink Night

SAN ANGELO – The Angelo State volleyball team won their fourth match in a row on Friday night inside the Junell Center – Stephens Arena, sweeping St. Edward's on Dig Pink night. The Rambelles took set one 25-9 before claiming sets two and three 26-24 and 25-17.

The win is the Belles' first win on Dig Pink night since 2019, snapping a two-match skid.

A 7-0 run for the Belles in set one, where Laney Dale held serve, set the tone early on for the Belles. The first set saw the hosts hit .533 as a team, with 19 kills and only three attacking errors.

A tight set two saw the Belles capitalize on Hilltopper errors to win the set; Caleigh Enax and Krizia Perez held serve for the Belles in the third set as they pulled away to claim the match.

Hannah Kinnison led all players with 17 kills on the evening, only making two errors to hit .556. This is her 18th match this season in which she's recorded ten or more kills and her sixth match where she has hit over .500.

Fellow outside hitters Elsa Lamphere and Evelyn Torres had eight kills each while freshman Madi Parrish had seven.

Dale out-assisted the entire Hilltopper squad (23 to 22) and led all players with 13 digs for her 15th career double-double and ninth double-double of the season. She helped the Belles hit .305 for the match, the ninth time they've done so as a team this season.

The senior setter also had three aces, the third time this season she's reached that mark.

Enax had 12 digs on the match, while sophomore Kayla Baer had 11 assists off the bench.

The Belles improve to 18-3 on the season and 8-1 in Lone Star Conference play. They close their weekend out tomorrow against St. Mary's, who are coming off a four-set loss to UT Permian Basin this evening in Odessa.
