SAN ANGELO – The Angelo State volleyball team completed their second sweep in as many days with a 3-0 victory over St. Mary's on Saturday afternoon inside the Junell Center – Stephens Arena.
In the match, the Rambelles out-killed the Rattlers 46-34 while doubling up the visitors in blocks (eight to four) and out-digging their opponents 81-74.
Hannah Kinnison and
Evelyn Torres led all players with 12 kills apiece. Torres recorded a double-double with 18 digs while also hitting .357 for the match.
Madi Parrish had nine kills and eight digs while hitting .259; as a team, the Belles hit .241 while holding the Rattlers hit .117.
Middle
Marina Sanchez didn't commit an error, converting four kills on nine attempts, while teammate
Cate Boldrick had three kills and led all players with five blocks.
Laney Dale recorded her second double-double of the weekend with 24 assists to go with 17 digs. Libero
Caleigh Enax led the Belles with 19 digs.
The Belles improve to 19-3 on the season and 9-1 in conference play. Their schedule continues next weekend with road matches against Texas A&M-Kingsville and Texas A&M International.
