Career-Best Performances from Kinnison, Enax Lift Rambelles Past Aggies

SAN ANGELO – The Angelo State volleyball team rebounded from their first conference loss last night to end their weekend on a high note with a four-set victory over Cameron on Saturday afternoon inside the Junell Center – Stephens Arena.

The Rambelles dominated set one 25-10 before a tight battle between the two teams saw the Aggies claim a 32-30 set two victory; however, the Belles responded by taking set three 25-17 and set four 25-21.

The Belles were led by career-best performances from senior outside hitter Hannah Kinnison and junior libero Caleigh Enax.

Kinnison buried 23 of the Belles' 66 kills and hit .422 for the match. The 23 kills tie two others in the LSC for most kills in a four-set match this season. Kinnison's previous career-high was 21 kills, which she accomplished twice, last doing so on September 14th at Texas A&M-Kingsville. It is her third-career match eclipsing the 20-kill mark.

Enax recorded 36 digs as the Belles out-dug the Aggies 101-72 on the day; the Belles defense, led by Enax, held the Aggies to a .129 hitting percentage.

Her 36 digs are tied for the fourth-most digs in a single match in program history, tying former Belle Shelby Wilt, who had 36 digs against Texas A&M-Commerce back on November 9th, 2012. It is also the fourth-most digs any player has recorded in a single match in the LSC this season.

Enax's previous career-high was 30 digs, done last season in a five-set victory over Midwestern State.

Madi Parrish and Elsa Lamphere had 13 and 11 kills, respectively, while Evelyn Torres fell just one kill shy of a double-double with nine kills to go with 13 digs.

Laney Dale led all players with 30 assists this afternoon; it is her fifth match this season and the sixth time she has assisted 30 or more times in her career.

Alli Kirkpatrick had 17 assists, and Kayla Baer added ten assists for the Belles.

The Belles improve to 15-3 on the season and 5-1 in LSC play; they are back in action next weekend on the road when they take on Lubbock Christian and Eastern New Mexico.
