DENTON, Texas - The Angelo State women's basketball team cruised past MSU Denver 64-39 Friday night in the first of two games this weekend at the TWU Conference Challenge.

- A ten-point first quarter from Sawyer Lloyd helped the Rambelles end the first quarter up, 24-20.
- At the 4:36 marker in the second quarter, Briley Merket would go the free throw line and knock both of them down, starting a 10-2 run going into halftime.
- At the 7:39 marker of the third quarter, Madisen Honea would get the offensive going by hitting a three and extending the lead to 40-30.
- In the third quarter, the Rambelles' defense would only allow five points and cause nine turnovers.
- In the fourth quarter, it was much of the same; the Roadrunners were only able to score three points, while the Rambelles went on a 21-8 run to end the game, 64-39.

- Stephens led the way for the Rambelles, recording a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
- Sayer Lloyd was the leading scorer with 15, with Landry Morrow recording 10 points.
- The Belles had seven different scorers: Lloyd (15), Stephens (12), Landry (10), Merket (9) McGhee Pleasant (8), Honea (6), and Williams (2).
- Rambelles shot 37.5 percent (24-64) from the field, 36 percent (9-25) from behind the arc, and 50 percent (7-14) from the free throw line.
- The Rambelles outrebounded the Roadrunners in the matchup, 43-36.
- The Blue and Gold would win the turnover battle 14-22 with nine coming in the third quarter.
