Rambelles Fall to No. 15 Tampa

SAN ANGELO, TEXAS - The Angelo State women's basketball team fell to No.15 Tampa Saturday afternoon at the Rambelles Classic, falling 63-53.
 
The Rambelles fall to 4-3 on the season with the loss, while the Spartans improve to 6-2.
 
40 Minute Rundown
  • Tay Pleasant scored the game's first eight points.
  • The Rambelles started the game on a 13-2 run for the first five minutes of the first quarter.
  • Keniah Williams scored the last four points for the Rambelles to give them a 17-9 lead going into the second quarter.
  • Tampa started the second quarter, scoring five straight points to bring the Rambelles lead to 17-16 with 7:06 left in the quarter.
  • A three-ball by Mya Giusto gave the Spartans the lead 23-21 at the 4:24 marker of the second quarter.
  • The Rambelles then went on a 10-2 run to extend the lead to 31-25 with one-minute left in the second quarter. 
  • Mia Giusto hit her second three of the day at the Buzzer to bring the Rambelles lead to three 31-28 and give the momentum to the Spartans going into the second half.
