SAN ANGELO – The third-ranked Angelo State baseball team claimed an outright Lone Star Conference series win over St. Mary's on Sunday afternoon with a dominant 14-5 victory over the Rattlers at Foster Field at 1
st Community Credit Union Stadium.
Getting hit by a pitch in his last at-bat to walk off the Rattlers yesterday,
Reese Johnson started the Rams' day at the plate by being plunked by a Rattler pitch; he would score the game's opening run on
Jacob Guerrero's second triple of the season.
Guerrero would double the Rams' lead by scoring on a fielder's choice.
Austin Beck led off the second inning with a bunt single before scoring on a

Tripp Clark sacrifice fly made the score 6-0 in favor of the Rams after two innings of play.
Kamden Kelton led off the fourth with a double to left field before scoring on a sacrifice fly by Johnson, making the lead 7-0.
A trio of singles preceded a Rattler home run as they scored their first three runs of the contest in the top of the fifth; the Rams responded with three runs of their own in the bottom of the inning, led off by a
Jordan Williams solo home run and followed with a Kelton RBI double and a
Justin Harris RBI single.
The Rattlers plated two more in the sixth, and the Rams responded with three more in the bottom half, courtesy of a Boggs single and a Kelton two-RBI triple. The Rams would score another in the seventh, with Guerrero reaching on an error and scoring on a Clark single.
Hunter Mayo collected his second win of the season, allowing four hits and five runs while striking out five across 5.2 innings of work.
Jackson Haga picked up his second save of the week, pitching the final 3.1 innings in relief of Mayo and only conceding two hits while striking out six.
