SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Angelo State track & field teams kept a small group in action this week as the third-ranked Rambelles and fourth-ranked Rams competed at the Bryan Clay Invitational hosted by Azusa Pacific and the War Hawk Classic hosted by McMurray.
 
At the Bryan Clay Invite, 
Oussama El Bouchayby competed in the 800-meter run, taking first overall with a time of 1:45.88 and beating out several Power 5 competitors. His time was .57 off his fastest time this season and ranks fourth all-time in Division II history.
 
Competing at the War Hawk Classic, 
Cason Brown took first overall in the discus with a throw of 50.32m (165-01). 
Trey Showen and 
Emmanuel Serna competed in the 10,000-meter run, taking third and sixth respectively with times of 35:05.92 and 36:11.25.
 
For the Rambelles, 
Marina Grimaldo finished second overall in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 41:33.16 while 
Hannah Parson followed in third at 41:47.83.
 
ASU will be back in action next week as they travel to West Texas A&M for the Buffalo Invitational on Saturday, Apr. 22.
