PUEBLO, Colo. – The fifth-ranked Rams and 17
th-ranked Rambelles wrapped up the first day of the 2025 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Thursday in Pueblo, Colo.
The Rams are currently in 12
th in the team standings with five points on the opening day.
Oleg Ananev earned First-Team All-American honors after finishing fourth overall in the pole vault, clearing a height of 5.32m (17-5.5).
After day one of the multis,
Mark Burdin is second overall in the decathlon with 4,052 points. He finished first overall in the long jump while taking second in both the long jump and high jump.
In the heptathlon,
Maricia Spence sits in fifth overall with 3,320 points through four events while
Kylie Frush is 15
th with 2,808 points.
Rami Balti turned in the third fastest time in the prelims of the men's 400m, winning his heat with a time of 46.06 to advance to the finals.
In the women's 400m hurdles,
Shackelia Green finished 16
th overall with a time of 1:00.66 while
Esma Pajt took 16
th in the women's hammer with a mark of 53.42m (175-3).
The championship meet will continue tomorrow with the multis resuming at 10:30 a.m.
